Braille Training

Braille Training is one of the core educational initiatives of the Welfare Society for the Blind, aimed at empowering visually challenged individuals with essential literacy skills for independent living.

Braille, being a tactile reading and writing system, plays a vital role in enabling visually impaired persons to access education, communication, and information. Through this training program, the Society ensures that learners develop strong foundational skills in reading and writing Braille with accuracy and confidence.

The training is conducted by experienced instructors who provide step-by-step guidance, starting from basic Braille alphabets to advanced reading and writing techniques. Special emphasis is given to improving speed, comprehension, and practical usage in daily life and academics.

This program benefits:

  • Students pursuing formal education
  • Individuals preparing for competitive examinations
  • Adults seeking functional literacy and independence

The Society integrates Braille learning with modern tools and resources, including access to its Digital Library and academic materials, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

By equipping individuals with Braille literacy, the Welfare Society for the Blind continues its mission of enabling visually challenged persons to become self-reliant, confident, and active members of society.
